The contract between Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith and OFM Computer World, led by CEO Dr. Debrich Jeremiah Acheampong, has once again ignited debate on Peace 104.3 FM during Akwasi Aboagye’s Entertainment show.
The discussion has drawn sharp comments from industry experts, most notably from Counsellor George Lutterodt, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, Kwasi Enerst, Tilly Akua Nipaa etc.
Counsellor George Lutterodt’s Remarks
During the broadcast, Rev. Dr. Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counselor Lutterodt, urged listeners to “queue up and listen” carefully to what OFM Computer World, its CEO Dr. Debrich Jeremiah Acheampong was saying.
He remarked that the current dispute is like washing dirty linen in the wrong place, pointing out that Esther Smith’s actions could lead to unnecessary public disputes.
“There is a deal in the thing that somebody must shut up to receive what must be received,” he stated—emphasizing that sometimes, silence is necessary for a beneficial outcome.
According to Counsellor Lutterodt, and as reiterated by Dr. Debrich Jeremiah Acheampong, Esther Smith came to OFM Computer World with very little—a lack of a YouTube channel or no significant online presence—making the arrangement even more perplexing.
He questioned why, if everything was set up online to allow money to flow through Esther Smith’s European accounts, her team would come to Ghana to change the login details and withdraw funds locally.
Further, Lutterodt advised that if anyone—such as Ziega —has direct access to Esther Smith, they should meet in person and resolve the matter amicably. He stressed that granting multiple radio interviews would not help the case, particularly given Dr. Debrich’s significant investments in the project.
As the discussion progressed, Nana Frimpong Ziega was seen laughing, which drew a sharp caution from Counsellor Lutterodt. He warned Ziga that instead of laughing, he should focus on finding a resolution, emphasizing that Dr. Debrich Jeremiah Acheampong had made significant contributions and investments that needed to be acknowledged.
Counsellor Lutterodt further stated that in this matter, Esther Smith has been beaten in the division, reinforcing that she should reconsider her approach. He concluded his remarks by adding that “these people can give us something,” referring to OFM Computer World and the potential benefits that could still come from maintaining a good relationship.
Festus Frimpong Gyebi – Ziega ’s Involvement
Following these remarks, the discussion shifted to Ziega, who has been actively giving interviews and claiming to be Esther Smith’s Public Relations Officer (PRO). However, Counsellor Lutterodt cautioned Ziega to tread carefully, suggesting that such public pronouncements might complicate the issue further, especially when important contractual and financial details remain unresolved.
QueenLet’s Role in the Matter
It has also emerged that QueenLet, the gospel artist who organized Sing-A-thon in Germany, was the one who introduced Esther Smith to OFM Computer World.
However, QueenLet reportedly feels that Esther Smith used her as a stepping stone to connect with OFM Computer World, which has led to her anger over the situation.
The unfolding situation raises key questions about contractual obligations, digital rights management, and financial transactions in the gospel music industry.
As discussions continue on Peace 104.3 FM, stakeholders will be closely watching how both Esther Smith’s team and OFM Computer World navigate these complexities.
